The development of science and technology in the 21st century demands that every individual possess various skills that support global competitiveness. One of the essential skills that must be mastered is scientific literacy. This study aims to determine the effect of the experiential learning approach on students' scientific literacy skills. This research is an experimental study with a 2x2 factorial design. The dependent variable in this study is scientific literacy on the theme of “plants.” The results showed that students taught using the experiential learning approach had higher scientific literacy skills compared to those taught using conventional methods. This is evident from the average post-test score of Group A, which was 85.20, while Group B scored 70.60. Thus, the experiential learning approach has a significant effect on improving students’ scientific literacy. Based on the discussion presented above, it can be concluded that there is a difference in scientific literacy skills between students taught with the experiential learning approach and those taught using conventional methods.
