Abstrak

Co-curricular activities in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum occupy a strategic position as a vehicle for strengthening the character and competencies of students through contextual, reflective, and interdisciplinary learning experiences. This article aims to critically examine the meaning and urgency of implementing co-curricular activities as outlined in the Co-Curricular Guidelines BSKAP (2025) and to analyze strategies for integrating co-curricular activities into Arts and Culture education in elementary schools (SD/MI). This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach based on document analysis and relevant scientific references. The findings indicate that well-planned co-curricular activities based on local themes can enhance the achievement of Dimension 8 of the Graduate Student Profile, strengthen the relevance of arts education, and create an educational ecosystem that values humanity. This article suggests cross-subject collaboration, partnerships with arts and cultural communities, and performance-based assessment as implementable approaches that can be adapted by educational institutions.
