Character education in elementary schools is a crucial aspect in shaping a generation with noble character. One effective approach is the practice of congregational prayer, as it not only serves as a form of worship but also fosters discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and social awareness. Based on initial observations at SDIT Al-Hasan Kota Bangun, congregational prayer is conducted routinely and systematically, reflected in positive student behaviors such as rushing to the prayer room, lining up neatly, and enthusiastically carrying out religious duties. This study aims to analyze how the practice of congregational prayer functions as a method of character development, identify the instilled character values, and determine the factors that influence them. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that congregational prayer is effective in instilling religious values, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and patience. This success is influenced by teacher role models, family support, student motivation, a religious school culture, and adequate infrastructure. Regular, consistent implementation, accompanied by supervision and educational sanctions, makes congregational prayer a primary medium for character development in elementary school students.
