This study aims to improve students’ learning interest through the use of animation-based video learning media in the Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for sixth-grade students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru. The research employed classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 20 sixth-grade students. Data were collected using learning interest observation sheets, pretest–posttest assessments, and supporting documentation. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ learning interest. The average percentage of learning interest increased from 47.9% in the pre-cycle (low category) to 70.83% in cycle I (moderate category), and further to 87.5% in cycle II (very good category). Students’ learning outcomes also improved, as shown by the average pretest score of 48.21% rising to achieve full mastery in the posttest. The use of animation-based video media successfully created an engaging, interactive learning atmosphere that motivated students to participate more actively in the learning process. In conclusion, animation-based video learning media is proven effective in enhancing students’ learning interest in the IPAS subject at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru.
