This study aims to explore the role of the principal as a controller in improving the quality of learning at MI Uways Al-Qorni Pekanbaru. The principal is expected to exercise effective leadership by implementing innovative strategies to manage education in the school. This study shows that the principal plays a crucial role in creating an inspiring and inclusive learning environment, and involving all stakeholders, including teachers and parents, in the learning process. Through training programs, mentoring, and partnerships with the community, the principal strives to improve teacher competency and facilitate the necessary resources. However, challenges such as limited budget and facilities are also faced. With a holistic and collaborative approach, it is hoped that the quality of education at MI Uways Al-Qorni can continue to improve, making a positive contribution to the development of students and the educational institution as a whole.
