The title of this study is “The Implementation of the Sima’i Method to Improve Qur’an Memorization Ability of Sixth Grade Students at SD Muhammadiyah 5 Pekanbaru.” The study's goals are to(1) describe how sixth graders at SD Muhammadiyah 5 Pekanbaru use the sima'i technique to memorize the Qur'an and(2) determine what variables have the most impact on their memorizing abilities. A descriptive technique was used in this investigation, which was qualitative in nature. Teachers and children alike participated as study subjects, and data was gathered via documentation, in-depth interviews, and classroom observation. Each step of the data analysis process from gathering data to cleaning it up, presenting it, and making conclusions was executed methodically.The findings indicate that the sima’i method is effective in enhancing students’ Qur’an memorization ability through a structured learning process, in which teachers act as listeners and guides, while students actively engage in listening, repeating, and reciting their memorization directly. Supporting factors of success include motivation from both teachers and students, as well as supporting facilities such as the use of murottal recordings and a conducive learning environment. The challenges encountered include limited learning time, students’ boredom, and environmental noise disturbances. This research suggests increasing the allocated time for Qur’an memorization lessons, creating variations in the learning atmosphere to reduce boredom, improving supporting facilities, involving parents in the learning process, and providing training for tahfizh teachers so that the teaching and learning process can become more effective and enjoyable.
