This study aims to describe the implementation of the 3S habituation method (Smile, Greet, Greeting) in instilling politeness in fifth grade students of SDN 002 Kuapan, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the 3S habituation in schools runs well through daily habits, role models from teachers, and positive interactions between students, teachers, and school residents. Supporting factors for the successful implementation of the 3S habituation are teacher support, a conducive school environment, and cooperation with parents. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the lack of consistency of some students, the influence of the environment outside of school, and limited teacher supervision.
