This research examines the application of appropriate technology by utilizing recycled plastic bottles as a core component in a drip irrigation system for crop cultivation in limited space. The methods employed include assembling a simple drip irrigation device from recycled plastic bottles, testing the system's effectiveness on various plant species, and evaluating its water consumption efficiency compared to traditional watering techniques. The research findings revealed that this system not only successfully reduced water use by 40–60% but also maintained soil moisture stability and encouraged optimal plant growth. In addition to its water efficiency, this innovation also plays a role in reducing the volume of plastic waste while supporting the concept of sustainable agriculture. Therefore, a drip irrigation system using recycled plastic bottles can be an alternative irrigation solution that is effective, economical, and easy to implement on a small scale, such as in home gardens.
