This study aims to describe the forms, implementation, and impacts ofthe literacy program conducted at MI Al-Barokah Ajung Jember. Theresearch data were collected through interviews with teachers,classroom observations, and questionnaires distributed to 29 thirdgrade students. Based on the results of interviews and observations,the implemented literacy program focused on reading–writing literacyand was carried out in three stages: habituation, development, andlearning. In the habituation stage, students were encouraged to reador listen to books other than textbooks, followed by discussions relatedto the reading material. The development stage aimed to fosterconsistent reading habits and improve students’ comprehension skills.In the learning stage, students demonstrated the ability to understandand explain the material effectively. Questionnaire results revealedthat the literacy program had positive impacts, including developingstudents’ reading habits, revitalizing the school library, andenhancing students’ creative, critical, and innovative thinking skills.
