Proper household medicine management is very important to prevent medication misuse, side effects, as well as inappropriate storage and disposal practices. The DAGUSIBU program (Get, Use, Store, Dispose) is an educational initiative aimed at improving public understanding of proper and correct medicine management. However, many people still have limited knowledge regarding the DAGUSIBU concept. This study aims to analyze the level of community knowledge about household medicine management based on the DAGUSIBU concept and to evaluate the improvement of community knowledge after educational counseling conducted in Aston Villa Housing Complex, Mendalo Darat, Jambi. The interview results showed that most respondents had low understanding of proper medicine storage and correct disposal of expired medicines, including the management of syrup medicines, antibiotics, and medicines that had changed in color and odor. After the counseling session, there was an improvement in community knowledge, as indicated by an increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test scores. The community also demonstrated enthusiasm and positive responses toward the educational activity.
