Advances in digital technology have transformed the world of education, including the teaching of Social Sciences (IPS). The use of digital media, such as educational videos, interactive presentations, and online platforms, has the potential to enrich the quality of learning by providing more diverse, engaging, and contextually relevant materials. This study aims to examine the use of digital media in Social Sciences learning, with a focus on infrastructure challenges and the digital literacy gap. The method used is desk research with a qualitative approach, involving content analysis of various journal articles and related scientific publications. The research findings indicate that digital media plays a role in increasing student participation and facilitating the development of critical thinking skills. However, its implementation is still hampered by infrastructure limitations, such as inadequate technological facilities and uneven internet access, as well as the gap in digital literacy levels between teachers and students, which affects the effectiveness of technology integration in learning. Furthermore, it was found that infrastructure and digital literacy are interrelated in determining the success of digital-based learning. In conclusion, optimizing the use of digital media in Social Sciences learning depends on the synergy between the provision of adequate infrastructure and strengthening digital literacy, especially for teachers, so that the teaching process becomes more effective and aligned with technological advances.
