The development of digital technology has brought changes in the world of education, including in social studies learning in junior high schools, where digital media has the potential to support the delivery of more interactive, visual, and contextual materials, making it easier for students to understand abstract concepts. This study aims to analyze the use of digital media as a learning resource in social studies learning in junior high schools. The method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study (library research) through the collection of secondary data from relevant journals, books, and articles, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the use of digital media has a positive impact on conceptual understanding, learning motivation, student engagement, and learning independence, although there are still obstacles such as limited access to technology, low digital literacy, and limited teacher competency and infrastructure. In conclusion, digital media plays an important role in improving the quality of social studies learning in junior high schools if utilized optimally. Therefore, it is recommended to improve technological facilities, strengthen teacher competency, and support from various parties so that the use of digital media can run more effectively and sustainably.
