Religious diversity is an integral part of Indonesia's multicultural society. However, if not managed properly, this diversity can also lead to conflict. This study investigated the role of religious moderation in increasing interfaith tolerance. Qualitative research methods, with descriptive-analytical research types, are used. The concept of religious moderation and the practice of tolerance in society are discussed through literature studies and reviews of various relevant sources. The results show that religious moderation plays an important role as a strategy that emphasises balance, fairness, and respect for differences of belief. It has been proven that the values of religious moderation, such as national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and acceptance of local traditions, can strengthen good relations between religious people. In addition, religious moderation can be applied through education, the role of religious leaders, and government policies. It is also an important way to foster mutual respect and prevent religion-based conflict in a pluralistic society. In conclusion, religious moderation is a useful strategy to increase tolerance between religions and maintain social stability. As a result, to achieve sustainable harmony, various parties must strive consistently to apply the values of religious moderation in daily life.
