This study examines the development of research on Problem Tree Analysis (PTA) in the context of financial management decision-making through a bibliometric approach, with the aim of mapping scholarly trajectories, collaboration networks, and thematic structures in this field. A quantitative bibliometric analysis is employed using publication data retrieved from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. VOSviewer and CiteSpace are used to visualize co-authorship networks, country collaboration, and keyword co-occurrence patterns. Research on PTA in decision-making forms several fragmented collaboration clusters, with a small number of dominant actors and countries occupying central positions in the scholarly network. Keyword co-occurrence analysis reveals that decision-making serves as the central node connecting diverse concepts including risk management, problem-solving, sustainability, and systems thinking, reflecting the multidisciplinary character of this field. These findings provide guidance for researchers and practitioners seeking to apply structured causal analysis tools in financial management contexts, and highlight priority areas for cross-national collaboration and methodological integration. This study contributes a systematic and visual mapping of PTA scholarship within financial management decision-making, an intersection that remains underexplored in the existing bibliometric literature. The analysis identifies research gaps and emerging themes that can direct future inquiry.
