This study discusses the development of a web-based Management Information System (MIS) as an innovation in managing data and information in the digital era. The rapid growth of information technology encourages organizations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in processing information. A web-based MIS plays an important role in supporting organizational activities because it allows data to be managed in real time, integrated, and easily accessed through internet technology. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept, development, components, benefits, challenges, and implementation of web-based MIS in several fields such as education, healthcare, government, and business organizations. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach by reviewing books, journals, and scientific articles related to management information systems and digital transformation. The results of the study show that web-based MIS can improve operational efficiency, accelerate decision-making, increase data accuracy, and support better coordination between organizational units. In addition, technologies such as cloud computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT) further strengthen the role of MIS in modern organizations. However, the implementation of MIS also faces several challenges, including high implementation costs, data security risks, human error, and dependence on technology. Therefore, organizations need proper infrastructure, qualified human resources, and effective management strategies to maximize the benefits of web-based MIS.
