The rapid growth of e-commerce has generated enormous volumes of data, creating challenges that hinder the efficiency of corporate decision-making. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data technologies are believed to provide solutions to these issues within a Management Information System (MIS) framework. However, research addressing the integration of the two within the context of MIS and e-commerce is still very limited. This study aims to examine the role and impact of AI and Big Data integration in MIS and the operational efficiency of e-commerce companies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method of Scopus-indexed scientific articles published between 2022 and 2026. The results indicate that AI and Big Data play a crucial role in operational process automation, predictive analytics, decision support systems, data management, and real-time large-scale data processing from various sources. The study concludes that to achieve optimal e-commerce operational efficiency, AI and Big Data must not only function as supporting tools but also become the foundation of the entire MIS ecosystem.
